Children’s Connections Trainings
Current Training Programs
Registered or licensed Child Care providers that participate in Children’s Connections’ child nutrition program can currently complete the following training at no charge:
Policy Development Management and Breastfeeding Practices: Wendesday, May 29th from 1:00-2:00pm
Presenter: Ida Aguilar, Children’s Connections Nutrition Coordinator Call Facilitator: Earlene Bustillos, Children’s Connections Outreach Coordinator- This training will count towards:
- Child Care Management
- Nutrition
Registration
To register for this training program, call 806-745-7995 and ask for the Training Coordinator or email training@childrensconnections.org and provide the following information for each person you want to register:
- Name of participant
- Which training you wish to attend, including all of the following:
- Training topic
- Date of training session
- Time of training session
- Your day time phone number (this should be the person who is completing the registration and who will be available to answer any registration questions we may have)
- Your email address (where you want your certificate emailed to)
Registration is required by 9:00 AM on the day prior to the training. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Plan to register early to reserve your spot!
Minimum Standards Requirements
If you are a registered or licensed child care provider, are a foster parent, or work at a registered or licensed child care facility of any type, our training programs will meet your licensing requirements. Training sessions are conducted by trainers who are licensed professional counselors or licensed social workers, meeting Minimum Standards qualifications. This will be documented on your training certificate.
We recommend that you print out information on each training program so that you can maintain a copy of it with each of your training certificates.
Tele-Seminars
Each participant must participate in the entire conference call in order to receive training credit. At the end of each training session, the trainer will give you a code number to write on your evaluation form you will receive. Turn in your completed evaluation form to Training@childrensconnections.org and we’ll provide you with a Certificate of Completion for the training you attended. You must turn in your evaluation with the correct code number in order to receive a certificate.
